I began writing my Thanksgiving “Honey Do” list about a month ago. You know the lists. Those, I’ll-get-it-done-on-my-next-vacation lists. My list, not surprisingly, is exceptionally long:
- paint the bathrooms
- clean the closets
- paint the garage
- shampoo the carpets & scrub the floors
- trim the trees & take the rubbish to the dump
- send out the New Year’s cards (from last year)
- send out the Christmas cards (for this year)
- work on photog lessons
And the list goes on from there.
One item I don’t see on the list?
Sleeping in 😉
My reality? If I manage to clear 4 items off the list above, it’ll be a week of time well spent.
On another note:
I have yet to walk past the house that burned the other day. It’s too close to home and I can’t stop the “What Ifs” that steamroll through my brain in the moments when I least expect it. I’ll start walking down there in the next day or so. I have to. I need to shed the monkey: The Barky Boys are safe. We don’t burn candles in the house (the rumored start of the fire) anymore. Haven’t done that in years.
Will I ever take pictures of the burned out house? I don’t know. I’ve been thinking about it, but …
Hub & I are going to the Festival of Lights tonight. He asked if I was taking my tripod. MY tripod. I smiled. 🙂
