Who knew 43* on an overcast Sunday morning could feel colder than 43* on a sunny Thursday morning?
Who knew a 46 year old walker would, on a whim (okay, not exactly a whim since I’ve been talking about transitioning to running for a while now), start a running program?
Who knew that 46 year old walker would be me?
This is me after completing day 1, week 1 of the Couch to 5K program I just started. I look pretty happy, don’t I? It’s because I am.
And I’m mighty proud of myself, too!
Couch to 5K is a beginning running program that takes 9 weeks to complete. I’ll be posting the week’s intervals at the bottom of the blog. For more information on the program, click HERE.
Great job Lisa! Stick to it. I ran my first 5K on 31 Dec. It was ~20 degress but me and my Lt finished w/o injury.
Congrats on the injury-free finish! 20 below just doesn't sound like a fun time … unless you're talking a "dry cold" and no wind chill … then it doesn't sound so bad!
