One Week

I lasted less than a week without Twitter.

What is this hold it has on me?  I can only describe it as feeling like I was constantly craving “something.”

I was craving news.

I rarely have time to watch the news and I haven’t read a newspaper in years (sorry Writer, I know this is your bread & butter) and even reading news online has become a luxury I rarely indulge in.  I do, however, have a few minutes here and there throughout my day to pull out my phone and read news tweets.

Twitter is right up my alley: each tweet is restricted to 140 characters so the writing has to be concise.  Bonus: many tweets contain links to the full-blown articles if I’m interested (or have the time) to pursue them.

While I can’t promise mind-blowing, thought-provoking tweets each time I post, if you’re interested, you can follow me at
