I don’t know if it’s hormones or exhaustion but I’m about on the verge of tears right now.
I received very exciting news last week that the proposal that I had submitted to the district on behalf of a colleague and myself was approved.
The proposal was to provide ongoing professional development throughout this school year to the district’s paraprofessionals.
Our first training date: August 21st.
Time to crank everything into full speed ahead and start writing those training modules.
Well, in amongst all the insanity of logistical planning with the district office and addressing various needs for the training, my colleague was absent.
She was on vacation.
I have eagerly awaited her return so that we can finalize all our plans.
She returned this evening. She responded to each of my e-mails with kind responses.
Until she got to the last one.
E-mail etiquette will tell you that anything written in all caps is known as YELLING. That is what she did in her last e-mail:
SINCE I’M SUPPOSED TO BE DOING SOMETHING, SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT I’M SUPPOSED TO BE DOING!
There was totally no need for that. Especially when she cc’d the district representative that notified me that our proposal was approved.
Not to mention everything was outlined in the previous e-mails she had responded to.
Like I said earlier. I don’t know if it’s hormones or exhaustion, but I’m on the verge of tears.
