I’m hopelessly wrapped around her little finger

We enrolled a young lady yesterday that I absolutely adore.

For whatever reason, our autism population is growing by leaps & bounds and yesterday, we grew by one more.

This child is an absolute doll and has become my little shadow. She’d follow me all over campus if I’d let her.

I don’t.

She has to attend to her schoolwork.

Whenever she sees me, she wants to follow me.

Or have me follow her.

“Gosh, I’d love to darlin’ but I’ve got to answer Mr. Teacher’s question and then go see Mr. Principal.”

She sighs and pouts and gets back to work with a pitiful, “Okay.”

Head Cheese thinks I’ve cracked. I’ve never gushed about a student before.

This kid has captured my heart.

  1. That’s one of the best benefits of working with kids – falling in love! There have been many students that have captured my heart & I am sure there are many more out there waiting to do so! Enjoy your new student! šŸ™‚
