What a cruel, cruel world we live in!
The north wind has been blowing the past couple of days and when this happens, the cedar pollen counts skyrocket through the roof.
I, along with many of my colleagues and a good portion of our students, have suffered mercilessly this week. Nobody wants to take allergy medicine because if we do, we fall asleep.
Headaches?
Runny noses?
Puffy eyes?
All that and more.
Can anything be worse?
Yes.
It is absolutely gorgeous outside! How can we possibly stay inside when it looks and feels so wonderful outside?
Imagine your very favorite meal sitting on a table with a glass container around it. You can get to your meal, but you’d have to shatter the glass to get it.
Allergies, tatertots.
The shattered glass that makes the meal taste awful.
Yesterday was DeLurking Day in the blogosphere. Would you be so kind as to delurk today and leave me a kindly heidy-ho?
Muchas garcias. (misspelling was intentional)
In your world, high cedar pollen counts,in mine, off the chart molds and mildews! Allergies abound here too! (sniff, cough, gag…)
As always, I’m thinking about you and hoping things are going well! big hugs to you!
Thanks, Laura!
It’s normally not so bad, but way back last summer we had a lot of rain. Lots of summer rain means lots of winter cedar pollen.
Such is life. Even though we knew it was coming, it doesn’t make those “wonderful” allergy feelings any less better ; )
