I can honestly say I still don’t “get” the caucus process that just happened in Iowa, however I think I have a little better understanding now than I did this morning.
There is one thing I absolutely don’t understand, and I don’t think anyone will be able to help me understand:
Why can’t all the people that want to run for president RIGHT NOW be put on the ballot in November and we just have a great big ole election and choose the top two electoral vote-getters for President & Vice President (regardless of party affiliation) … like the Constitution had originally determined the process to be accomplished?
At any rate, the caucuses have concluded and the next stop on the political train ride will be New Hampshire.
Looks like ’08 will be an interesting year, no matter who you’re rooting for.
