Merry Christmas from our Casa to Yours

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
and a Happy New Year!
Hub & I hope that you and yours enjoy a blessed day today. May you be surrounded by the laughter and chatter of family and friends and may you also pause a moment to remember loved ones that aren’t with you today. Both those that have died and those that live far away from you.

Hub & I will head over to visit his parents later this morning. His dad’s back in the hospital and so we’ll spend a bit of time with him before heading over to their house to visit with anyone else that happens to be there.

I asked Hub if it will be possible for us to be home by 2 so I can get our dinner started. We’ll watch all our favorite Christmas DVDs while dinner cooks. I’m looking forward to that!

Mum, Da, and the Spook are spending the holidays with the Major, the Writer, and Princess so it’ll be pretty quiet around these parts today. Just us and the royal poochies. No worries, though! We’ll have another Christmas celebration when everyone arrives home.

I’ve been participating in Laura’s “Twenty-five days to make a difference” challenge during the holidays this year and am so thankful that I happened upon this young lady’s website. She was faithful to share what she did each day this month that made a difference. Many of the things she did were incredibly simple: she said thank you to the lunch ladies for their hard work in making nutritious meals for her and her fellow students, collected gently used books, clothes, toys and then donated them to charity. Most importantly, Laura helped this 40-something remember how easy it is to make a difference and that it only takes a small moment of time to do so.

Even though Laura’s challenge is now officially over, I challenge each of you to think of ways to make a difference each and every day of the new year.

Hub & I are thankful for all of your love, prayer, and laughter. We hope you will take a moment to remember us today as we also take time to remember you.

Merry Christmas.
May you enjoy the Lord’s rich blessings today & always!
