6 o’clock, Saturday morning

I guess I’m more used to waking up at 4:45 than I thought! My peepers popped open and I turned to stare at the clock blaring “4:45” this morning

and groaned.

And then I got to thinking that THIS is my favorite part of the day. While the rest of my neighborhood sleeps, it’s just me, the poochies, and the hoot owl in the tree over in the school parking lot that are awake.

It’s so peaceful! I’ve been given this tremendous opportunity to review the events of the past week, plan for my day, and most importantly

reflect on the majesty of God!

Wow.

I received an invitation to head up to Austin to sit on a TEA teacher committee. This event will occur next month … in a few weeks, actually. I’m excited for the chance to go up and, when I started looking at my various calendars and schedules (I haven’t quite gotten everything on one calendar yet) I realized how great God is:

Even before my invitation arrived in my mailbox, HE had already arranged the time for me to go. I checked my schedule for my Tuesday night class. It’s a non-meeting night. I checked the schedule for my Thursday night class. With the exception of a paper that I can e-mail to my professor, there’s nothing else due. I checked my work calendar. No meetings scheduled.

God is good ALL the time and ALL the time, God is good!

I proclaimed this to my assistant Thursday and she absolutely started beaming. I shared with her my three different schedules and how there was the very same three day opening in every single one and we both started laughing. How cool is that!

As the sun starts to come up, I guess it’s time to start my day. I promised hubby I’d help him with the yard work this morning and then it’s time to become a “domestic diva” and tidy up our little abode before I dedicate the rest of my day to studying, paper writing, and researching.

God is good.

All the time.
