I am thankful this week for my friends!
It’s hard to believe that I went back on contract two weeks ago and that I started back in my night classes last week!
It seems like yesterday that I was pining for the busyness of it all and now I’m in the midst of it. Loving every minute of it, by the way. : )
If not for my friends at the school where I teach and the school where I learn, it would be hard to make it through the long hours of meetings and studying. I’ve been blessed with terrific people to work with and a fun group of folks to go to school with.
I know I did nothing to deserve the sweet folks I work with and I’m grateful everyday for them. I’ve heard stories of some campuses that are so fractured that all the faculty and staff wants to do is go in, do their job, and leave. How sad! I’m very thankful that this is not the case on my campus.
My first class meeting for the fall semester was last Thursday night and it was so much fun to watch people walk through the door (that particular class is in the basement of one of the buildings … talk about eerie!) and the shouts of greeting, the frantic waves to “sit by me! sit by me!” and hearing the laughter and the chatter as we all caught up on what’s been going on since we last had classes together.
It’s going to be a long, exhausting, FUN, and incredibly blessed year.
I’m so very thankful!
