I decided to head to the track the other day to work out some form “issues” I was having with my stride. Since it was fairly early in the morning, I had the track to myself for about half an hour.
I was about to wrap up my workout when a parent pulled up with a car full of young boys. These guys were definitely elementary school-age, skinny as rails, and bursting with energy.
Have you ever seen the dog agility trials when the Jack Russell terriers are racing to get the “rabbit?” It’s actually a bean bag. The terriers are so hyped up (more so than usual) that they are about to run out of their skin. The hutch doors go up and the terriers race toward their quarry … yapping and barking the entire distance of the race.
That’s what the boys reminded me of as the pack ran past me.
